The annual Adam Smith Ukrainian Energy Forum is set to take place against a background of unprecedented activity in the sector: • Both global energy majors and leading domestic industrial groups are actively pursuing E&P opportunities in oil & gas; Therefore the UEF-12 will once again provide a timely and independent platform for dialogue amongst all interested players in the sector – key government decision-makers and regulators, top executives from leading domestic state and private sector companies, current and potential international strategic investors and respected analysts, advisors and financiers. The Forum will cover the whole spectrum of the energy sector in Ukraine, including oil & gas exploration and production; gas production and supply; power generation and distribution; nuclear and coal production; energy efficiency; opportunities in unconventional gas, including shale and coal bed methane; renewable energy, as well as such issues as geopolitical considerations, energy transit, legislative requirements, tenders and licensing, the availability of financing and much more. |
Forum Highlights For 2012
The influential shale gas commentator will outline how the emergence of this energy source can impact Ukraine; The respected Kyiv International Energy Club, led by it founders, Oleksandr Todiychuk and Burzu Aliyev, will host this topical debate within the framework of the forum; The wine-tasting will take place at the end of the first day of the main forum on 28th February; Hear first hand from the leading players and experts on these exciting growth areas. Key EFET executives will be joined by DTEK, AES, Eurocape New Energy, NERC, Activ Solar, Energorinok, NAK ECU, Sadovaya Group and many more. We are honoured that Yuri Boyko, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, and Mykola Zlochevskiy, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, have both given their official support for the forum and confirmed their intention to speak. Indeed, once again the Ministry of Energy & Coal Industry will be a co-organiser of the event. Each of these key officials has recognised that the forum provides a unique platform for dialogue between the government and the energy community.
