GAIN STRATEGIC INSIGHTS INTO THE FUTURE OF THE SECTOR:
This comprehensive FOCUS DAY will provide a review of development trends and potential opportunities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Its sessions will feature presentations and ideas from representatives of the countries’ governments, and national and international pharma companies. What were the results in 2011 and what can market players expect from regulatory bodies in the near future? Senior professionals from the CIS’s leading pharmaceutical companies will discuss the sector’s hottest topics. Regional directors and local market leaders will share their views on possible scenarios for sector development and issues that could stand in the way of businesses in the coming years, and will also analyse the most important elements to successful strategic development. This session will offer an in-depth analysis of recent initiatives by the Commission of the Customs Union, and a discussion of the related problems, with an evaluation of how to solve them with Luiza Nocun, Country Manager on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Polpharma & Vice-President, Commercial Director, Chimpharm (all markets). During this informal discussion, Ms. Nocun will speak about how companies have successfully implemented strategies in CIS countries (including the purchase of a local producer in the Republic of Kazakhstan), and will share her opinions on existing problems and opportunities for further sector development. This session will be dedicated to analysis of the current situation on CIS pharmaceutical markets, existing possibilities for strategic purchases, investments into production and joint ventures. Its discussions will include forecasts and new strategic analysis of the investment climate in the pharmaceutical markets of CIS countries. Which preliminary conclusions can be made about the possibility of using government programmes to bring pharmaceutical production in the CIS up to speed with GMP standards, and what input is necessary from the government to stimulate this process?
